Day 8

Today we went to the tea plantation where we learned how they pick the leaves and ferment them. We learned how to hold tea tasting cups and had Traditional tea ceremony. I got some teas to gift out to people and a " pee pee boy" lol look it up! It was as a lot of fun there but humid and lots of bugs! After that we went on a river bamboo raft. Me and tori were buddies on the two seater rafts. It was sooo sketchy trying to get out to our raft a few rows back and we had to walk on 8 or their rafts to just get to ours. There were little waterfalls that we would go over and we lifted or feet up and yelled for some of them! We listened to The All American Rejects new album and danced around on the rafts. Our driver guy was super fast so we stopped to buy a coke on the river so we could be with our group and they ladies selling the drinks were trying to make us buy him a beer and we kept saying no! We got to another stop where he took like a 30 minute break, ate something, smoked, and drank an entire thing of coke. The lady there wanted us to buy him a beer too! After we didn't buy him anything our guy was starting to not like us. He took our umbrella down under a bridge and never put it back up, I took off my shoe and sock and put my foot in the water and he yelled at me although everyone else was doing it! After the ride there were two monkeys chillin on a seat all dressed up where you could take a picture with them! There was also a camel that looked like it was in sooo much pain! Talk about animal abuse!
After that we went to our home stay village! We had a traditional welcoming ceremony and after the not so great dinner we had a FANTASTIC party with the locals they prepared dances for us and games we could all play! We did I the bamboo sticks and taught them the Cupid shuffle! It was a really fun night! We gave our house mother our thank you gifts, me kaitlyn shumway, allysha, and lindsay all stayed in the same House together! Allysha and Lindsay had a HUGE spider in their bathroom and we all screamed when we tried to kill t with shoes! And we tried to get our house mom to help us but she didn't know any English. I used
my translator/ dictionary to get her help! A VERY FUN NIGHT!
