Hawaii Update

I am currently in Hawaii, for what was a trip supposed to be a family reunion, but turned into just a vacation (I guess)

Here are some of the people I was fortunate enough to meet, and my adventures.

We got into Honolulu, Oahu at 11pm (Hawaii time) on Thursday night.
Friday I had a university tour at the University of Hawaii at Manoa! Which I really enjoyed, because I will be going there in 1 1/2 years!!
We took a drive up to North Shore in hopes of seeing the filming of Catching Fire (second movie of the Hunger Games) but no such luck! Wasn’t able to meet Joshy :(

I also went to the neighborhood where George Clooney ran to his friends house after he found out his wife was cheating on him in The Descendants! I ran around the same corner he ran down, plus I got to see the his house in the movie!!

Flew into Maui on Saturday! Had a great, HUGE, lunch at Stella Blues--go there if your ever in Maui, Kihei--
Went to Black Rock, at the Sheraton and did some snorkeling! I took some underwater videos with my LIFEPROOF iPhone case, and it worked PERFECTLY!
We went on a Whale Watching tour, and got some photos of whale tails!
I met some really nice people on this tour: Raquel and Nate, including Chrissy the Captain!

We went on a snorkel trip to Molokini and saw some great fish, but the bottom of the waterproof LIFEPROOF case came open and water went straight into the charging port of the phone. So I'm currently out an iPhone and my main camera for the rest of the trip! INCLUDING SOME CHINA PHOTOS, JUSTIN BIEBER CONCERT PHOTOS AND VIDEOS, AND ALL AMERICAN REJECTS PHOTOS AND VIDEOS, PLUS THE NEWEST PHOTOS AND UNDERWATER VIDEOS FROM THIS TRIP IN HAWAII.
Soo...I’m very upset about that (no I’m not ignoring you if you texted or called me these past few days...)

But on the plus side, on the snorkel trip we also got to see a sea turtle and the crew of the Quicksilver boat were great! Nice meeting you captain Alan (Allen)!

JUST A NOTE: I’m not good at spelling.... especially names..

Next on our trip we flew onto Kona, on the Big Island on Tuesday and we got to meet up with cousin Jessica!! We had a very nice lunch at Humpy’s!
Later Tuesday night, we went on a manta ray snorkel and dive on the Neptune Charlie’s boat! (Where jess works) Mom snorkeled and I dove it! It was pretty amazing! When we were here last year, we did the snorkel and saw about 6 or 7 different mantas, but we only saw 2 this time. After everyone else who was on the charter left, we went back out with some divers and went black water diving!!!! It was my very first time, and it was an amazing experience!! I saw some squid that some spinner dolphins later ate. It was completely black except the 10 others divers lights!! The things we saw, I had JUST learned about in my Marine Bio class!! So that was pretty cool!!
Thank you to cousin Jess, for asking if I wanted to go! And thank you to everyone who was on that boat, and helped me out!
Shoutout to Josh Lambus! He has a shop on Alii Drive, with all his photograph! Go check it out if you are ever in Kona! I bought 3 photos!

On Wednesday we took a morning snorkel to see the dolphins!! I saw with the super cute spinner dolphins!! They were splashing around, jumping out of the water, and slapping their tails on the water!
We met Ryan, who does underwater videos and photos!! She was very nice, and helped us get close to the dolphins!
Thank you to the captain and Tim who ran the dive! He gave me some tips for when I travel to France!!
Later on Tuesday, I went and got my toe ring replaced at Aloha Toe Rings because it broke a few months back! Thank you Jen for the new ring and info about UofH!
I also got an arrow henna tattoo at Kona Henna on Alii drive! I absolutely love the henna, and I had a great conversation about the new movies this year with Robin, who did my henna! Thank you soo much, it was very nice to meet you!!

Still have a couple of days left here, then back to AZ!

Need to catch up on homework, and the semester research project for APUSH! :O
