Day 13

Today get got into Beijing! This is Duans hometown!! He was our local guide! Today we went to Tian’anmen Square and the forbidden city where we walked about 3 miles!! It was amazing!!! I took a bunch of pictures! I had a fun time here being the leader( I held the people to people sign for Duan!!) the cultural history here is breath taking!!! After the forbidden city we went to a school where they presented us with a tea ceremony again, but this time it was a student doig the presentation for us! At this school they are taught how to do the traditional tea tasting ceremonies and presentation! The girls who educated us how to properly make tea had such grace when they poured water and say down the tea pot top! We went down stairs where we got to make either dim sum or flowers out of colored flour dough! My flower turned out horrible!! :P but thanes was really good and he gave his red rose to me!!! ( how sweet!!) after the cooking school we went to the HARD ROCK CAFE where we finally got done American food ( after McDonalds) I got a burger and French fries!!! I was in heaven!!!! We also got a scoop of ice cream! Thanks Duan for changing our schedule so our first day in Beijing we got American food!!! Also the all American rejects music video played and tor and i freaked out because we are half way across the world and we still see the band both of us have met!! I took pictures, but of course the 2 pictures I take... His eyes are closed! >:(
We got to the hotel and this place us amazing!! It was a two story room! We had stairs going up to the beds! Two bath rooms and two flat screen TVs! But apparently the boys across the way from us ( me and kayleigh) had a spiral stair case that led up ti the middle of the upstairs where we only had a slight turn and then it goes along the wall. :( but coolest hotel/loft I've been in.... I could live there!

Also it is laurels 16 th birthday! She got a special dessert!!

Day 12

Today in xian we to a pagoda and got some pictures! We also went to a water painting studio and a rubbing shop where you use a "wet"piece of paper and put it on the stencil and after the paper dries you use this ink pad that you pat onto the stencil. Hard to explain easy to show. I made a tiger. We also went to another school where we had a mini talent show with the young kids! I did a front walkover and Duan was amazed!! After that we had dinner and said our good byes to mervyn:( I got some pictures with him at the train station. We got our cabin buddies , Tiffany kailey and Amanda! It was a 12hr overnight ride! Before the bed checks I hung out with shumway outside the boys cabins in the other car. We had a BUNCH of fun chillen with Duan and talking to the boys! Our car hallway was completely crowded with everyone else! We hug with thane demetri Duan Duncan Corbin Nigel Gavin austyn and a couple other people!! It was pretty great!! We had 10pm bed checks and I couldn't go to bed till 11 and there wasn't any power to charge my phone:(

People Like Us

People Like Us was a long but crazy story of a dad that dies that has two children, who didn't know each other. Chris Pine and Elizabeth Banks did an amazing job! This movie is based on true events which makes it more crazy! I honesty would love to see this movie again .

I think it's worth your time going and seeing this movie!
