Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

I really enjoyed the first movie, but this movie was way funnier!!!

I think that people who haven't really even seen the first one or have seen parts of it can still this one, and everything would make sense.
--you'd just need to know that this local news crew is from San Diego, and Ron and Veronica are together.

My favorite scenes:
Where Brick was forecasting the weather on St. Patricks day and was wearing green, and then he doesn't have legs, and falls to the floor twice
When Ron kept saying he's blind
When Jack Lime (James Marsden) had to change his name to Jack Lame,
and when the little boy was crying towards the end.

This movie is very racists, and inappropriate, but literally hilarious. I cried of laughter.

I don't think this movie is in any way suitable for kids, and young teenagers. I def. think that people who are 15 or older should see it.

GO see this movie!!

(ps..if you haven't seen the full cast list, then you'll be in for a huge surprise towards the end)

Catching Fire

Holy crap!!

I  read this book about 2 years ago and just reread it before watching this movie, and I am just blown away. I thought it was a lot better than Hunger Games, and had a A LOT of action!!

The actors were literally perfect for their roles, and the arena was better than I imagined it!!

Reading the book, more than half of it takes place before the game and I was wondering how they were going to show all the important details but I think they took out just the right amount of stuff which made it perfect. There were a few people they took out, a few added, details removed, and scenes shortened, but it was all nessesary and worked out in the end.

There are some pretty hilarious scenes with Effie, especially at the party at Snow's house!!! :) My friends and I pretty much died of laughter!!

I cried about 5 times during it, and got so caught up into the story, my friend forgot we were web at the movies.. She thought she was reading the book!!

Sam and Jena were SOO good as Finnick and Johanna!! Mags was soo cute, and Nuts and Volts did a great job! Jena's elevator scene was perfect and hilarious!!

I was looking at the cast on IMDB, and I saw Jack Quaid (Marvel) on there and didn't understand why he was in the movie... But the scene you see him was done soooo well!! You'll be surprised!!

I still can't get over this movie and how incredible it was!! Even though it's over 2 1/2 hrs long, I didn't ever feel tired, and I was on the edge of my chair the whole time!!

This won't be a spoiler if you read the books, but I cried at: Peeta, Cinna, Mags, Gale, and District 11 tour. My favorite scenes were the interviews with Caesar, training and the evaluation,  jabberjays in the arena, the monkeys, and Peeta and the force field.

I think anyone and everyone should see his movie!! It's literal perfection.
10/5 glasses!!! Mind is still blown, and still speechless. At the end, they show the mockingjay pin transition from each of the books, and it made me sooo excited for Mockingjay!!

The Book Thief

I am personally very interested in the holocaust, so when I heard about this movie I knew I wanted to see it. I haven't read the book, but after seeing this movie I really really want to. I knew I'd cry... But I wasn't prepared for all the tears that came out of my eyes.

I really enjoyed this movie, I honestly think this movie is equivalent to War Horse, it was very powerful and made a huge impact on me. I know it will win many awards, it deserves it!

The little girl who played Liesel was very good, even with a straight face she had SOO much expression, and made the movie so enjoyable to watch..

You probably will cry, so don't wear mascara, and bring tissues... But it's so good that the pros weigh out the cons and it's a must see!

Ender's Game

I have not read the book, and didnt really know what the was behind this movie, I just knew that Hailee Steinfeld, Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford, Ben Kingsley, and Abigail Breslin were in it. I was surprised to see Moises Arias, and Viola Davis!! But the rest of the cast was fantastic and did amazing.

Once again, without reading the book, I thought the casting was incredible and perfect as the characters they played. I absolutely loved this movie, and I WILL be seeing it again, and this time in IMAX!! I really enjoyed the training area where they would have battles against other teams within the training academy.

I thought that Asa was perfect, and really made Ender perfect, his wit and "attitude" was on point. Hailee, still my all-time favorite, did a great job as Petra!!

I gasped, I was stunned, I was shocked, I was confused(in a good way), and just BLOWN AWAY!! I really enjoyed this movie and could watch it anytime, any day.

I really have nothing bad to say about this movie!!

This movie is really for all ages, I guess some images might be a little much for kids, like the Mind Games he plays on a tablet type electric, but other than that ITS PERFECT!!

6/5 GLASSES!! I WILL BE READING THAT BOOK NOW!!

Romeo and Juliet

Fantastic!

Although Shakespeare isn't my favorite, and isn't the easiest to understand.... I love this story and how they portrayed the story.

Hailee, my favorite actress, was beyond perfect. Her co star was gorgeous... And perfect for the role of Romeo!

I know this story and what happens but my friend and I still cried. We were just so into the story and into the movie we got caught up in the moment!

I think so teens/ preteens who haven't read the book might have a problem "translating" the dialog but other than that it was perfect!

5/5 glasses!!! Great job hailee!!!

(There was a lot of kissing)

Captain Phillips

I  knew this was based on true story, but I didn't even this event happened.. And I was alive and should of heard of it..

Anyways, it was made very well. Tom Hanks was incredible! He should diffenently get awards for this preformance.

I don't know if everyone would enjoy this movie, it was long and can be slow on some parts but I think most teens and up would like this movie!

Prisoners

I didn't really want to see this movie, but I really actually really enjoyed and got really engaged in the story.

The acting was incredible and the story line was perfect.

I was completely engaged in the entire movie and story line, I thought I knew who kidnapped the girls but then it totally changes around.

I really don't want to spoil this movie, so there's not much I can say about it except for GO SEE IT

Don Jon

DISCLAIMER: THIS MOVIE AND REVIEW MAY NOT BE FOR EVERYONE--IT IS VERY SEXUAL

Alrighty..... Uhhh I don't know what to say about this movie except that you have to be very mature and okay with the subject.

This movie is about porn, and sex...

Joseph Gordon-Levitt did a GREAT job at writing and directing this movie...the story line and the timing( showing time lapse-- week by week) was great! It was also pretty hilarious.. And it sounds weird when people hear me say "yeah I saw Don Jon and I loved it" because I'm a 17 year old teenage girl but I did! It was funny, daring, and all around great!

But only people who a very mature should see this... (and who aren't prude or grossed out by this topic shouldn't see it)

Lots of old couples left during the movie... So just be aware of that

I give it 6/5 glasses  I've seen it twice now.. And I love it

Insidious: Chapter 2

I don't understand why I went to see this movie in the first place ... LET ALONE THE DOUBLE FEATURE!! I couldn't not handle the first one and was totally against seeing the 2nd one! But I went and I'm kinda glad I did!

So catching up on the first one and rejogging the memory was good because then you could make the connections in the 2nd one!

Number 2 wasn't as startling as the first but still VERY gripping.

The first one left you guessing at the end  and so did this one...

I don't want to spoil anything because the twist is insane and mind-boggling.. (To me it was.. But if course my mom knew it way before I did)

I still don't understand how these movies are PG-13 because they are soo scary.. But I think this movie is for brave teens and anyone who love scary movies.

One Direction: This Is Us

To be honest, I am a huge fan of One Direction and I absolutely loved this movie. After I heard the first word thats said in this movie, which is by Niall, I just started crying. Just bawling my eyes out because the 5 boys Im in love with are right in front of me, and it just made me soo proud to be part of such a huge fan base that supports these 5 young, talented, amazing boys.

Now, this is a concert/documentary film, and it gives you both the fans and the boys perspective, which I enjoyed very much. I also got to relive one of the best days of my life, seeing these boys in concert. And for the fans who couldnt go to one of the Take Me Home tour shows, they get a VERY nice 3D experience. I really enjoyed the fact that they put they're performance of Teenage Dirtbag in the movie, it's one of my favorite covers by them and I thought the special effects were REALLY cool during TD!!

It was a very well made movie, and even if you arent a fan, I can guarantee that you will be after you see it.

I cried throughout the entire movie...so much so that I fogged up my glasses and couldnt see.

I really want everyone to see this movie, not just because I love them, but because it was just sooo crazy to see the behind the scenes, and to see what theses boys go through on a daily basis just gives  you such a new-found respect for them.

No one should walk out of that movie saying it was bad, or horrible, because it was far from it.

and congrats boys on such an amazing movie, and bringing all the fans with you on this journey.

Louis, Liam, Niall, Zayn, and Harry.... Im speechless.

(p.s. they are shirtless a lot--and I'm not complaining)

30/5 glasses... even though this deserves 1 million glasses.

The Conjuring

My god. This movie honestly scared me... And probably is the scariest movie I've ever seen. Anything paranormal literally kills me... So this definitely scare me..
I had a blanket.. Both feet on the seat and was in a ball scared to look at the screen.

My friends AND my mom were scared. If it scares my mom-- it's a scary movie!

We all yelled/screamed, jumped, gasped, cringed, and any other reaction there is that humans do during a scary movie.....

I would never watch this movie again, but it was terrifically well. And the fact that this was based off a true story freaks me out even more.

Note:
•if the dog doesn't go into the house ... You know something's wrong because animals can sense those things.
•don't play hide and clap-- it's just scary
•if you move into a new(but previously owned) house and you discover a boarded up basement/cellar... Don't go down there-IT WAS BOARDED UP FOR A REASON
•don't move to the middle if no where... It's kinda creepy.

I give this movie 5/5 glasses because it was scary -and actually scared me, unlike some other "scary" movies; and because it was made very well!

Turbo

this was one of the cutest animated movies this year!! I absolutely loved it, and so did every single kid in the screening! Im happy to say that I didnt cry in this movie like I thought I would!

Turbo (Ryan Reynolds ) was super cute, and I loved how he never gave up on his dreams...and its a great lesson for these little kids who go see this movie!! I think everyone-kids, adults, teens, etc- would enjoy this movie!

I was kinda upset that Paul Giamatti was in this movie...because hes one of my LEAST favorite actors.. but his character (turbo's brother) finally believes in his brother after always putting him down.
The movie has a very good ending that kept you on the edge of your seat!!!

Lone Ranger

I loved this movie!!!!

I didn't grow up with the tv show so I'm seeing these characters for the first time.... And I really really enjoyed it!

Johnny Depp is my all time favorite actor, so seeing him play a weird/character is the best!

The movie was done by the same people who did pirates-- my favorite movies, and Helena Bonham Carter is in it too, which adds to the awesomeness.

Johnny did an amazing job, like always. Armie Hammer was very good, and worked well with Johnny!! Helena wasn't in the movie a whole lot but when she was, the scenes were funny!

Towards the beginning when Johnny explains the stories of him and the Lone Ranger... They like pause the scene and talks to the little boy( this is hard to explain... But it really bothered me that it was in this movie... And this was the only time they did it- it would have been better if they took it out. You'll see what I mean)

I would Definitely see this movie again!! It very long but very good!

I think it's more of a teens and up movie, even though its Disney.

5/5 glasses!

Despicable Me 2

Alight! This movie was pretty cute! I honestly liked the 1st one better...but I feel like the little kids would like this one more!

I ended up falling asleep for the ending because I was up since 2pm the day before because of major jet lag! I didn't miss much and was filled in on what happened...

But over all it was a good movie... I would probably buy it on DVD but never really watch it.

LITTLE KIDS WOULD LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! This is a good babysitting movie to take the kids to!

Day 17: Beach and Zaragoza

This morning we drove an hour and a half to a beach right outside of Barcelona!! I sat next to Chase on the bus. We had a bunch of fun at the beach.. some of us played a bit of volleyball, some even got to go kayaking and paddle boarding! I was able to record some footage in the water, and I let Dylan use my gopro again in the water! I was also able to record the famous Chester the Dolphin (Heath) in the water :) it was hilarious.

After hanging at the beach for a few hours, we went to lunch at a restaurant right on the beach. We had a pizza thing.. and we thought it was our main course...but found out it was our appetizer and by that time... I was already full! We had chicken and fries for the main course, and it was very good! I sat around Thane, Haylie, Alex, and Michael.

After a GREAT lunch we drove to few hours to a Palace in Zaragoza. The Aljaferia Palace was built in the 11th century and was a mix of Islamic and Spanish architecture. We got to explore alot of the rooms, and got to see where they hold official meetings for a regional parliament. We got some amazing pictures of the architecture, and then left for our new and 2nd to last hotel, and dinner.

We stayed with the roomates we picked! I got Megan and Haylie!! We stayed in a pretty nice place...in the middle of no where....we had some paella for dinner at the hotel. I sat with Dylan, Julia, Alexandra, Shiv, Avi, Chase, Edward and a few others at the other end of the table. We gave Stefano (bus driver) and Markus some thank you gifts, because tonight is the last night we have with Stefano! :( He drives us to our hotel tomorrow and we wont see him after that!!!! :(

We've got an early morning tomorrow to go to Madrid, because the bus ride is 4 ish hours long.

Day 16: Spain, Barcelona -- Day 4: Homestay

Today we leave our home stay :(

I gave the family some american tshirts from Old Navy, and they really liked them! We talked about my blog, college, summer vacations, and life in the car ride over to the school where we were all meeting.  I got some pictures with the family, and we were on our way.

We went to a mall, where I got to go into Zara, and Primark! I was most excited about Primark, because all of the british beauty gurus I watch on YouTube, go to Primark and buy cute clothes and things. We dont have a Primark in America, so this was the one and only store I wanted to go to in the mall.

Haylie bought a beautiful leather jacket, that was VERY expensive.. but very beautiful and worth the price. Emily, Donisha, and Austin bought some stuff at H&M, and were excited about it.

FINALLY! At Primark, I got a duffle bag, which Im sure im gonna need, and a cute makeup bag. I didnt have enough time to try on anything, so i just stuck to those two items. Austin was in the flip-flop section, and we picked out some flip-flops for Markus- he only wears flip-flops.....EVERYWHERE WE GO THATS ALL HE WEARS. I picked out the American Flag ones, to remember us by. Donisha got some dressed, and Austin got some ties.

After our fun time at the mall, we went to make our own paella! I sat with Thane, Austin, and Ana. We mixed and cooked our own food! It was very cool, and didnt taste too bad!! I kinda.. liked it! After that we went and saw some amazing work by Antoni Gaudi and we saw the Sagrada Familia!! We didnt go inside but were able to see the amazing construction on the outside.

We went to dinner, and saw some Flamenco dancers. We had a dinner and a show! Even Dylan, Heath, Tori, Ana, and Andrew went up there and danced with them!!

Day 15: Spain -- Day 3: Homestay

YAY! Today our small group went to the park where all the other delegates were. We had water balloon fights, and Edward got soaked.... I got Ms. Fields pretty good. Dylan, Andrew, and a few others had a truce that we wouldnt get each other.. and Im happy to say everyone stayed true to their word. I got Megan, which i felt bad about....but it was funny so it was ok. Aubrie was throwing one at Dylan..but she missed and hit an bench where an elderly man was sitting....the water got all over half of his back. She felt very bad, apologized, and the man said "its just water, it'll dry", so at least he was understanding.

We hung out for awhile, and then everyone but our small group went back to school (HA HA!!!!) at 1pm. We "played" volleyball-just hit the ball to someone and tried to keep it up as long as possible. We played some other games, laid down, hung out, swung on the "grunxador" (groon-sha-dough) -swings- and i made a weird bracelet out of a fresh branch of a tree and gave one to Holli and Laura. Holli, Nathan, and Aubrie got picked up and went back to their houses... while Chase and I walked back our houses..which was kinda far, but the walk was ok. I got to meet Laura's "almost boyfriend" they are super cute together!!

After walking home, Laura changed into her black outfit for her orchestra concert. They had a practice before they had the actual concert...so I got to hear some of the song they were playing... and they sounded amazing! I actually really enjoyed it. After practice I got to meet some of Laura's friends, and a guy came up to me and knew who I was. He said someone who's staying with him knows me, he said the name of the person, and it sorta sounded like Thane, but I knew Thane had a girl...so it couldnt be him. I showed him a picture of our group and he couldnt find his person...so I have no idea who this boy had...but he knew me! Aubrie, Nathan, and Holli came to support Laura and Catty. Our Laura-from our delegation- was also there, her girl played in it too, along with Austin's guy (who was the friend that sang in the all boys choir at Montserrat). Chase and his guy had to come late..but they got to hear one song.

After the AMAZING concert, we walked back home, which took about 20 minutes, but we got to talk so that was cool! We had a cheese omelet with potatoes for dinner, which was very good! I actually really enjoyed it! The recipe is her grandmothers, and I loved it!

We had another late night, and an early morning tomorrow, because we leave our homestay and get back with our delegation. Im not excited to wake up at 7 because Ive been waking up at 9, and 10 at the house........

Day 14: Spain -- Day 2: Homestay

Today, our small group went up to the Montserrat Mountain to check out the church and the all boy choir that sings there. Holli's girl, and mine, knew a friend that used to be part of the all boy choir... its a great honor, and they sounded amazing.

We waited in line for a few hours, touched the ball that the virgin Mary was holding (for good luck), and then had our lunch on the step in front of the church. Laura's mom packed our lunch..we had sandwiches, and bananas!

Laura had saxophone lessons/practice but was an hour late because when we got on the train to go back down the mountain, we didnt get off at the stop, so we went back up the mountain, and down one more time! So after going up and down twice, we finally got off the train and waited for the right train toward Barcelona. Once we got off at our next stop....we almost missed our next train, we had to run!

Laura and Catty (i dont know how she spells it--Holli's girl) had choir practice at 8pm, and was 2 hours long...  Heath's girl was also at choir practice, but he didnt come inside like Holli and I did...so we face booked messaged each other so we had something else to do.

After a late night, Laura and I had some great pizza her mom made!!! There was four cheese and BBQ.. they were both very good, but cheese was my favorite!

I go to bed pretty late, and tried to catch up on my journal and blog... but i dont have wifi... so I have to find somewhere else to upload.

Day 13: Spain -- Day 1: Homestay

Today we set off for a cave/river/hike this morning! we hiked up to a cave where they discovered bones/skulls of our ancestors. We learned about the different stages, and the growth of "homo" through the stages. Like how homo habilus was the first to use their thumbs, and create tools and what not. Later, we got to swim in the river...which was very cold but cool!! Dylan recorded some videos on my gopro, I'm excited to watch them! After swimming for a bit, we had a great lunch! It was one of the BEST sandwiches I've ever had. (chicken, lettuce, mayo, and bread--plain but it was amazing!) After eating, we got to try and throw a spear into a target board...it was very hard, and only a few got the spears to actually stick into the board!

We drove a few hours, and made it into Spain! We stopped at a gas station, and the food change was immediate from France...alot of the foods were completely different from the other stations.

NOW  WE GET TO GO TO OUR HOMESTAY!!

My girl Laura had a concert, so she couldnt make the pick up, but I got to meet Laura's parents--Pere, and Angels. They took me to her music school, where I got to meet her, her friends, and a few of her teachers. After the initial meeting, we went on a walk through the shopping center where her father works, and her mother rehearses for the plays shes in at the theater. Everything was close together, and very interesting to look at. They have alot of stores that are like our stores...with different names...so I thought that was cool.

I was given a little tour of the theater where her mom performs, and the building her dad works in! We drove to a hot dog/burger place, where we met up with Nathan, Chase, Aubrie, and Holli. We all ate dinner, and then went to a place where Holli's girl goes. (this is really hard to explain....so bare with me) Holli's girl takes part of some Catalonia/spain activity where they make human towers by climbing up the backs of people, and stanging on their shoulders...creating a multilevel tower of humans.

After seeing this, which was VERY interesting, we went home, where I got my own room -no wifi, or air- but it was very nice, and very sweet for them to take me in.

Day 12: Carcassonne

Today we headed to the castle where they filmed Robin Hood!

The first thing we did after breakfast at the hotel was drive to the village/town by the castle. We got into small groups, were give 7 euros each, and was told to buy lunch in FRENCH with this money. My group was Aubrie, David, Nick, Heaven, and Brianna. We got some very good bread at a bakery, but had horrible pizza at some restaurant. I had one bite, and was done! After that gross lunch..we were walking back to our meeting spot, and we ran into ms. bostick. She told us to go to The Picnic and get some crepes! So we did! It was amazing! We all got Nutella crepes, and they were very very good.
Im happy I was able to get real crepes in France!

After that, we (like always) walked to where we were going. Our local guide talked to us about the history of the castle but I dont remember anything. We were shown the different "layers" of the castle/kingdom, and the walls/towns surrounding the middle. We went into the church, which as very beautiful, with a huge shell (like ocean shell) and the stained glass windows.  The gargoyles were actually pretty creepy... so they did their job.
Jason was being a creep the whole time taking pictures of me and thane. Thane and I tried to get him back by taking pictures of him, but we were never able to.

After our local guide left, we had some free time! Megan bought a table cloth, Dylan was mistaken for being gay because he put a pink girl case on his phone and the owner of the store said "he likes boys, no?" and meg and heath said "we're not sure" and then Dylan puts a zebra one of his phone, and then either meg or the owner goes "definitely!" and it was HILARIOUS! Dylan didn't even know what was going on until we told him after we left the store.

I got an amazing raspberry sorbet, and watched the boys play with swords, shields and bows for 5 year olds. Some/most of the boys bought a sword or dagger, they thought it was cool.

After the castle we went to the new hotel, where I roomed with Haylie and Briana. I Went down to the pool, and watched Dylan and Heath goof around.
